SDI Federal was founded by Robert Mazzuca, who also serves as Executive Director of the SMART Congressional Initiative, one of the nation’s longest standing bipartisan science, technology, economic development, and national security collaborations.
The SMART Congressional Initiative brings together eight United States Senators and thirty nine Members of the U.S. House of Representatives representing Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania with leadership from the White House, more than 56 federal agencies, state and local governments, international partners, research universities, national laboratories, economic development organizations, and private industry.
SMART was established through a partnership between the Legislative and Executive Branches of the United States Government. The Initiative was founded by Dr. John H. “Jack” Marburger III, the President’s Science Advisor and Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, working with the Initiative’s Congressional founders.
This leadership experience gives SDI Federal unique insight into the relationships, institutions, and execution pathways that drive growth throughout the Defense Industrial Base.
